Coalition for Responsible Sex Ed – A coalition of educational, religious, health, social service and advocacy organizations, as well as concerned individuals that promote lifelong healthy sexuality by advocating for policies on comprehensive sexuality education and access to confidential health care services. Child Care WORKS – Child Care WORKS is a statewide coalition of organizations and individuals that educate about and advocate for quality care and education for all Minnesota’s children and their families.

Affirmative Options Coalition – Affirmative Options is a statewide coalition of more than 50 organizations that work together to advocate for state and federal public policy changes to create opportunities for low-income Minnesotans to achieve economic security.

Children’s Defense Fund Minnesota – Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) was founded in 1973 by Marian Wright Edelman to provide a strong and effective voice for the children of America, since they cannot vote, hire lobbyists, or speak out for themselves. CDF Minnesota began its work in 1985.

Congregations Concerned for Children-Child Advocacy Network – A statewide, interfaith network of child advocates.

Planned Parenthood of Minnesota/South Dakota Action Network – Sign up for the Planned Parenthood Action Network and receive periodic legislative updates and action alerts that will allow you to stay informed, speak out and make a difference in reproductive health.

Legislative Commission on the Economic Status of Women – The commission advises the legislature and provides basic information and statistics on women in Minnesota. The commission gathers information on population characteristics, educational attainment and enrollments, marital and parental status, household characteristics, labor force status and employment characteristics, and basic information on women’s legal and economic rights.

National Coalitions and Organization

Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) – Develops, collects, and disseminates information, promotes comprehensive sexuality education, and advocates for the right of individuals to make responsible sexual choices.

Advocates for Youth – Advocates for Youth is dedicated to creating programs and advocating for policies that help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. Advocates provide information, training and strategic assistance to youth-serving organizations, policy makers, youth activists and the media in the United States and the developing world.

Center for Adolescent Health & the Law – The Center for Adolescent Health & the Law supports laws and policies that promote the health of adolescents and their access to comprehensive health care.

National Center for Youth Law – The National Center for Youth Law uses the law to protect children from the harms caused by poverty and improve the lives of children living in poverty.
