October is Let’s Talk Month
Every October communities, families and organizations participate in Let’s Talk Month (LTM), an opportunity to focus on the importance of communication between adults and young people around issues of sexual health. Overseen nationally by Advocates for Youth, LTM offers a chance for communities to promote parent-child communication through activities, social events and education.
Can we talk?
Celebrate Let’s Talk Month by having a party! We’re inviting you and people all over the Twin Cities to host a house party in honor of Let’s Talk Month. Invite your friends, colleagues and family over to learn how to tackle the often awkward topic of sexuality in a safe and productive manner with the children in your life. You’ll have the opportunity to ask a local expert your individual questions and walk away with ideas, strategies and discussion topics. Parties can be scheduled throughout October and are a great way to increase the sexual health of the teens in our communities.
